You don't know the power of the Dark Side! 4) Bring it on. 5) Which is what, exactly? 6) What the hell is an Elfybopper? Consider yoursellf welcomed.

Don't listen to him, he couldn't be friendly to someone if he tried. Welcome! Thankie for the compliments, I haven't been here in a while, I have more members now, which is GREAT! lol. I like arguing as well, I think that's more or less how Seatbelt and I got acquainted, arguing. Or friendly debating, depends on your definition. Yes, I would also like to know what Synthesesia or whatever is, never heard of it, but if it's a mental problem, I have a few of my own, so you're in good company. And I can recite Fotr the same way you can recite TTT, merely because I'm good at picking stuff like that up (drama skill ) and have watched the movie and read the book so many times, and I remind my family of it frequently. But welcome! lol, have fun, post often, and I won't say stay active, since this board isn't too terribly active yet. ^_^ -Larien

Yes, I AM a nerd, thank you *bows* Elfybopper: Fan of Orlando Blom/Legolas who has no clue as to the rest of the movie, is annoying, doesn't recognize the true beauty of the movie, and has no desire whatsoever to read the books.
Synthesesia is not a mental disorder (although some of my classmates call it that just to tick me off) It IS in my brain, however, but it's not a "disorder", per say..
It causes me to see letters, numbers and words in color. I have a mild form of synthesesia. Some synthesites see sounds or tastes in color - a certain shape of a certain color "floating" in front of their face. I do not experience this. These people see the letters, numbers and words as well. All synthesites have different colors associated with each sound, taste, letter, etc, but for each individual, the colors are ALWAYS the same for each sound, etc. This is caused by some connectors in the brain crossing. In your brain (most likeley) they look like II. In my brain, they look like X. Because I have a mild case, only a few receptors are crossed, as opposed to more in the higher cases.
This is not a disease or a disorder, although it can get annoying. For the most part, though, it helps me memorize dates, words and formulas, because I can translate them into colors and then translate the colors back into words or numbers.
YES I can tell what color the word is on the page. The other colors are somewhere between the page and my mind. Sometimes when letters or numbers are in color, on blocks for example, they make me crazy because they are the "wrong" colors Heh, have fun reading my novel over here...

I couldnt tell you a forumula if I wanted to. (Except the ones for area, volume, permiter, distance and area of a square. those are important) so being able to memorize those would be handy. Very cool.

Good morrow to you! Er, yes. Welcome and suchness... Memorizing TTT is coolness. I can't claim to have done so, though I know quite a bit of the first half, and quite a bit of Fellowship... Comes from making the movies of it when bored. Aheh. In any case, g'day.
