I loved the part about the Orcs thinking Sam was a tough "Elven Warrior" or a man of Gondor. I also liked the fact that Sam carried the ring for a while, and left Frodo. That part was woefully cut for the movie, along with the part about using the Phial to get past those sentry-statues. It may be that Sam is my favorite character, but I liked that part a lot, and think they should have left at least some of it in the movie.
